Dog Days of Summer Southern Sampler #6
One of my favorite Dorothy Parker quotes these past several months has been, “What fresh Hell is this!” Those words could not ring more true than right now between this pandemic, racial inequalities, politics, and it physically being hotter than Hades here in Thomasville, GA. Our Southern Samplers are Seasonal and are all about highlighting, connecting, and sharing Southern makers with you.
Only a few available!
R.Wood Pottery - I have known Rebecca since my college days in Athens, GA and I worked for her as well. She had an adorable log cabin behind her house and across the street from the studio and I was her first tenant.I love the floral form of these bowls as they remind me of flowers. I use her pieces all the time, as a little pop of color just brightens and heightens my mood and my food. You will receive two bowls- a small and an everyday flora bowl, our pick in colors.
Southern Straws based in Columbus, GA., is a mother-and-son bakery dedicated to making good, ole’-fashioned cheese straws that put a unique spin on a classic Southern tradition. Oh so good- I am including the original and the spicy.
Dot & Army, based in Brunswick, GA., is just a company that is a staple in my store and my life. We are always collaborating. Lately, I have been particularly bothered by single use plastics especially drinking straws. However, I am not a big fan of paper straws, so Dot & Army made these pouches out of my vintage dog fabric. This pouch contains 4 stainless straws and cleaning brush. Enjoy that cocktail guilt free.
Speaking of Cocktails, these DIY Camp Craft Cocktails have made our Summer so much more fun and festive! We feel like we are going out, while staying in. These are made right down the road in sunny Jacksonville, FL. by two friends Rhonda and Suzanah. You will receive one DIY jar that will make 16 cocktails.
Happy Dog Days of Dogust! I hope you will make time to take time for yourself, as self-care has never been so important.
Stay Well and Cheers!
